Taft Day Early Childhood Center provides reliable, skilled and secure care for children in East Harlem. East Harlem parents and caregivers have relied on The Children’s Aid Society’s Taft Day Care Center to provide the skilled and secure care their children need. Taft Day Care is fully certified by The New York City Department of Health and features a professionally-trained staff and licensed teachers with master’s degrees. Children ages 2 to 5 are eligible.

Concourse House, works to eliminate homelessness by providing families with safe, stable, transitional housing. Concourse House works with the families to break the cycle of poverty by providing a variety of social services and interactive programs that promote growth and independence. We emphasize stability and healthy independent living. Each family is offered programs and activities directed toward goal setting and developing a sense of personal responsibility.

The Graham School, which nurtures and educates infants, toddlers and preschoolers through Head Start, Special Education, and Early Head Start programs, is located at Echo Park, ABC’s multi-service center for children and families. Children at the Graham School gain greatly from the comprehensive array of services that are available on-site and can “wrap around” to strengthen each child’s family. They include a children’s mental health clinic, an after school and weekend educational, recreational and mentoring program, preventive services, therapeutic groups for children in crisis, parent support groups and employment assistance.
Of course being a part of a not-for-profit organization we are used to agencies and organizations making visits. offering donations, organizing parties and the like, and do not get me wrong, we will appreciate and even count on the generation of each penny, each second, each individual item that is donated; however, to have a group like yours put so much heart and soul into the very last detail and keep your own mission at the forefront is unsurpassable.Mary Ellen Rooney
